In light of the very competitive Film Incentives Act (Act 27 of March 2011) adopted by the Puerto Rico Legislature last year, Production Advisory Services has partnered up with Film Production Capital LLC from Louisiana to offer film tax credit financing in the island. This means that by financing in Puerto Rico, producers can count the financing costs and interest towards the 40% tax credit (the tax credit financing expenses and interests count as expenses paid to Puerto Rico residents).

Welcome! Bienvenidos!
Hello! Thanks for visiting my new blog. This is a bilingual blog on the entertainment industry at large and in Puerto Rico (music, tv, film, etc.), my passion for films and anything that goes with it: music, locations, talent, crew, contracts, stress, budgets, creative ideas, some glitz here and there (for those of us who work in the industry). However, I must confess that my passion for the entertainment industry is not the only driving force of this blog. There is a more pragmatic reason and that is that I need to practice my writing. I love writing. I have loved writing since I was a little girl. Not just the art of constructing a sentence, but the actual printed paper. Here I get to practice the art of conveying my message, while conveying my message. I stopped writing creatively in Law School and frankly I feel that I need to get my groove back. Unfortunately, I need to practice my written skills in both English and Spanish. This means that I will sometimes be writing in Spanish and sometimes in English. Sometimes I will have the time to translate them (which I also need to practice on), but sometimes I won't. I apologize to my readers in advance for those of you that don't understand one of the two. I hope you enjoy my coming blogs which should follow my adventures in the Puerto Rico entertainment industry, as well as my explorations of the art of film. One of my goals is to write at least twice a week about a different movie. I have decided to set no criteria for the choosing of the movies except for one: that I have never seen it before. Hence, I am making the commitment to watch at least two new movies every week. This is not an easy task as I basically have two jobs and I'm working on a Masters degree. Thank you for visiting my new blog and I hope you enjoy it!
